The French Ministry of Education cancelled a commission of 800,000 copies of Jul's illustrated version of "Beauty and the Beast" intended for 10-year-old students, deeming it unsuitable due to mature themes like alcohol, social media, and complex social realities. Education Minister Elisabeth Borne stated it was not appropriate "without pedagogical support." Jul denounced the decision as political censorship.
